Pedestrian Critically Hurt in Vista Crash at Civic Center Drive and South Santa Fe Avenue

Man Injured in Vista Pedestrian Collision at Civic Center Drive and South Santa Fe Avenue

Vista, California (April 9, 2020) – A man sustained major injuries in an auto-pedestrian accident on Wednesday night in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.

The crash was reported at around 8:41 p.m. April 8, on Civic Center Drive and South Santa Fe Avenue.

According to the report, a 59-year-old man was walking westbound across Civic Center Drive when he was hit by a southbound car.

The man was taken to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

Man Injured in Vista Pedestrian Crash 

The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man, stayed at the scene.

Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the collision.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
