Man Killed In Long Beach Pedestrian Accident on Del Amo Boulevard near Locust Avenue ID’d as Bryan Bogan

Long Beach, California (April 8, 2020) – Authorities have identified 61-year-old Bryan Bogan, of Long Beach, as the man who died following a pedestrian accident that happened in the area of Long Beach on March 24.
The fatal crash was reported at about 12:40 p.m. on Del Amo Boulevard just west of Locust Avenue.
The accident happened when a Dodge Caravan operated by 50-year-old Charlette Colton of Lakewood, westbound on Del Amo Boulevard, slammed into the back of a Honda Accord for undisclosed reasons. The Honda then sideswiped a parked vehicle and hit Bogan and a 71-year-old Torrance male party upon the impact.
The initial report indicated that Bogan and the other pedestrian were standing between the Honda and a 1996 Mercedes-Benz E320 at the time of the collision.
Colton fled the scene on foot after hitting the two men.

Officials affirmed that both pedestrians were hospitalized with major injuries sustained in the wreck.
Bogan died at the hospital on Saturday, April 4, eleven days after being struck by Colton.
Colton was later arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and felony driving under the influence.
Meanwhile, Colton is currently being held in lieu of $160,000 bail.
The detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence to determine the cause of the accident.
