Carla Strother Victim Killed in Bakersfield Head-On Accident on South Union Avenue
Bakersfield, California (December 24, 2019) – 44-year-old Carla Latrice Strother has been identified as the female victim who was killed in a head-on crash early last week on Friday morning in Bakersfield, according to the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
The fatal collision was reported at around 6:50 a.m. on December 20, along South Union Avenue.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, a white pickup truck traveling north in the southbound lane of South Union Avenue struck a Honda sedan driven by Strother on Highway 223.

Strother was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. The wrong-way pickup truck motorist also died in the accident.
Meanwhile, a passenger in the truck sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck. The victim was attended to by paramedics and then rushed to a hospital for further treatment.
The identities of both the occupants riding in the pickup were not revealed.
The investigation is still ongoing.
