Humboldt County, California (November 28, 2019) – One person was killed and two others injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Humboldt County, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at around 12:50 p.m. November 27, on US 101 south of Salmon Creek Road.
According to the report, an SUV was traveling southbound on US 101 when the driver drifted into the northbound side and collided with an oncoming Ford Excursion.
Man Killed in Humboldt County 2-Vehicle Crash
The man driving the SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. His passenger was transported to St. Joseph Hospital by City Ambulance with major injuries.
The driver of the Ford suffered minor to moderate injuries.
The crash caused a closure of US 101 for nearly two hours as the scene was examined and cleared.
The crash is under investigation by the CHP.
