Bakersfield, California (November 7, 2019) – Major injuries were reported in a traffic collision involving a semi in Bakersfield Thursday night, according to the California Highway.

The major injury crash, which happened about 9:18 p.m. November 7, occurred on Kimberlina Road between Highway 99 and Highway 43.

The accident involved a semi and another vehicle of unspecified built. The precious circumstances that lead to the collision were not disclosed. Due to the impact, the semi reportedly caught fire.

The CHP said Multiple Kern County Fire Department vehicles and a medivac helicopter were dispatched to the scene to offer first aid treatment to those who might have been injured.

The investigation is underway.
