Pilot Dies in Upland Plane Accident on Overland Court near Mountain Avenue

Upland, California (November 7, 2019) – A pilot was killed when a single-engine plane crashed into a home Thursday morning in Upland, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 11:00 a.m. in the 1200 block of Overland Court near Mountain Avenue.
According to the authorities, the 2007 fixed-wing Cirrus SR-22 was flying from Torrance Municipal Airport to Cable Airport when for reasons still under investigation, the plane crashed into the single-story home on Overland Court. The crash sparked a house fire.
Fiery Fatal Plane Crash in Upland
The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the aircraft, died in the crash. The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
Authorities said a man and his young son who were inside the house at the time of the accident were not injured.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the cause of the crash.
