Yuba County, California (October 19, 2019) – A CHP officer was struck and injured by a vehicle early Saturday morning in Yuba County, according to the authorities.

The incident happened at around 1:11 a.m. on State Route 99 at Limo Crossing.

Authorities said a CHP officer was directing traffic at the crossing which had a broken railroad crossing sign. A driver passing through the crossing failed to stop and hit the CHP officer.

CHP Officer Injured in Yuba County Crash

The officer was taken to a hospital with major injuries.

No further details were released.

The crash is under investigation.
