Coarsegold, California (September 15, 2019) – 42-year-old Jay Holland was injured after a motorcycle collision late Sunday morning in the area of Coarsegold, according to a local news source.

The collision happened at around 11:23 a.m. Sunday, on Highway 41 and Morava Road near the Coarsegold Mini-Storage.

As per the report, a witness said a 2002 Dodge Stratus being driven by a 92-year-old man made a turn into oncoming southbound traffic on Highway 41 from Morava Road.

At the same time, Holland was riding a 2008 Yamaha southbound on Highway 41 and the two vehicles eventually crashed for unknown reasons. The impact ejected the rider over the car and onto Highway 41.

Major Motorcycle Accident on Highway 41 and Morava Road

The CHP, Cal Fire and Sierra Ambulance responded to the scene. Holland was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of severe injuries. His current condition was not immediately released.

Falcon, the Dodge driver was not injured in the crash. He was given a field sobriety test and reportedly passed.

An investigation is underway.
