Major Injuries Sustained in Contra Costa Motorcycle Crash on Highway 4 and Somersville Road
Contra Costa, California (September 15, 2019) – Major injuries were sustained after a motorcycle collision Sunday afternoon in the area of Contra Costa, according to authorities.
The collision happened at around 2:02 p.m. Sunday, on Highway 4 and Somerville Road.
As per the CHP officials, a blue sports motorcycle and a vehicle crashed for reasons still under investigation. The motorcyclist and their bike were down on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway following the crash

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to attend to the crash victims. The number of patients and their current condition was not immediately released.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Authorities blocked lane 4 and 5 as a result of the crash.
The roadway was cleared as of 2:30 p.m.
