Fontana, California (September 7, 2019) – A woman was injured after a traffic collision at an intersection in the area of Fontana, according to a local news source.

The crash happened at around 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 4th, at Sierra Avenue and Marygold Avenue.

As per the report, 34-year-old Joshua Crook was driving a stolen commercial truck when he rear-ended a Honda. The impact pushed the Honda into a traffic signal and another car.  Cook then continued driving over the median across northbound lanes and hit a fence.

Responding firefighters attended to the woman who suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Kaiser Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The name of the patient was not immediately released awaiting notification of next of kin.

Cook was arrested and transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was admitted due to a preexisting medical condition.

An investigation is underway.
