San Mateo, California (September 7, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a traffic crash that led to injuries on Friday evening in the area of San Mateo.

The crash occurred a while before 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, at the 25th Avenue grade crossing.

As per the CHP officials, the southbound train No. 272 crashed into an occupied car for unknown reasons.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to the occupants of the vehicle. The number of the injured parties and their current condition was not immediately released.

None of the 600 people aboard the train were hurt in the crash.
