9-Year-Old Girl Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Monterey Highway in San Jose ID’d as Paytin Osmond

San Jose, California (January 5, 2021) – 9-year-old Paytin Mae Osmond, of Kaufman, has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as the girl who was struck and killed by a vehicle on the final days of 2020 in San Jose.

The fatal pedestrian accident took place at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Monterey Highway north of East Capitol Expressway.

Osmond was hit by a pickup truck after she jumped onto its path in the afternoon hours.

The initial report showed that the motorist was moving the truck off an automobile trailer before hitting Osmond in the dealer lot.

Sadly, Osmond died at the hospital while undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver has not yet been arrested.
