83-Year-Old Desert Hot Springs Man Killed in Desert Hot Springs Pedestrian Crash on Dillon Road near Johnson Road
Desert Hot Springs, California (September 21, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Monday morning traffic accident that killed an 83-year-old pedestrian in Desert Hot Springs.
At about 7:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the fatal pedestrian accident on Dillon Road, east of Johnson Road, outside the Caliente Springs Resort.
The CHP said the elderly male pedestrian was hit by a Ford Mustang that was driving at about 55 mph. The factors that contributed to the accident are yet to be established.

Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver reportedly pulled over and called the police.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
Further details regarding the mishap were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
