8-year-old Boy Dies in Oxnard Pedestrian Crash at Cooper Road at North Anita Avenue

Oxnard, California (September 30, 2019) – A child was killed when a vehicle struck a woman and two children at an intersection in Oxnard on Monday morning, according to the authorities.
The crash took place shortly before 7:45 a.m. in the area of Cooper Road at North Anita Avenue.
Police said a woman and children aged 8 and 9 were trying to cross the street when a driver traveling eastbound on Cooper Road struck them.
Child Dies in Oxnard Pedestrian Crash
Emergency crews responded to the incident and performed CPR on the 8-year-old child. The three victims were then rushed to the hospital, where the boy succumbed to his injuries.
There was an update on the conditions of the other two victims.
The driver of the involved car, a 17-year-old girl, remained at the scene after the incident.
Police are conducting an investigation into the crash.
