Bicyclist Killed in Long Beach Crash on 405 Freeway near Woodruff Avenue
Long Beach, California (September 15, 2019) – A 39-year-old Long Beach man was fatally hit by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Friday night in Long Beach, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on 405 Freeway near Woodruff Avenue at about 10 p.m. on Friday, September 13.
CHP said the man was riding a bike in the auxiliary lane when a 2007 Lexus struck him.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. His name was not immediately released.
The driver of the Lexus, an 83-year-old Long Beach man, was unhurt.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
