Motorcyclist Injured in Menifee Collision on Newport Road
Menifee, California (June 13, 2021) – A motorcyclist was injured in a crash in Menifee on Sunday morning, according to authorities.
The accident occurred at around 9:48 a.m. on Newport Road, just east of Antelope Road.
Authorities said a motorcyclist heading west on Newport Road was splitting between lanes of traffic to avoid slow traffic when he lost control and was ejected from his bike.
The rider collided with another vehicle and sustained severe head injuries.
Man Injured in Menifee Motorcycle Accident on Newport Road
Authorities said the rider was taken to Inland Valley Medical Center for treatment.
Speed is suspected to be a factor in the accident.
The crash caused a closure of the westbound lanes of Menifee Road between Westlink Drive and Antelope Road as authorities investigated the incident.
The collision remained under investigation.
