Garden Grove, California (March 13, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday morning traffic accident that killed three people in Garden Grove.

The incident began at around 2:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, when a police officer spotted a Dodge Ram truck traveling at a high rate of speed through a parking lot and then sped onto the street.

The officer activated their lights and sirens and followed the pickup truck.

As the pickup truck approached the intersection of Euclid Street and Orangewood Avenue, it slammed into a car driven by Clugston.

After the impact, the pickup truck crashed through a block wall and hit a water hydrant before rolling into a pool at a home while the car overturned and landed onto the block wall.

Two occupants of the pickup truck were pronounced dead at the scene.

One other party was transported to UC Irvine Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
