Three Die, One Airlifted after Highway 138 Accident on Highway 138 near Oasis Road
Pinon Hills, California (June 18, 2020) – Three people were killed and one other person was critically injured Thursday evening in a traffic accident involving several vehicles in Pinon Hills, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly collision, which was reported at around 7:37 p.m., took place on Highway 138 near Oasis Road.
The CHP said several vehicles collided for unknown reasons on the highway. One of the involved vehicles, a silver four-door sedan, rolled over upon the impact.
One party was pulled out of the wreckage by bystanders, the CHP report states.

Three people were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Their names were withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Another person sustained critical injuries in the crash and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center. Their condition at this time remained unknown.
The fifth victim was evaluated at the crash site but refused hospitalization.
No further details about the crash were immediately disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
