Rowland Heights, California (December 9, 2020) – Three people were injured early Wednesday morning in a multi-vehicle collision on a freeway in Rowland Heights, according to a local news source.

The accident involving several vehicles happened at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 9, on 60 Freeway at Nogales Street.

A video from the crash scene showed a Honda traveling on the 60 Freeway trying to exit at Nogales Street but ended up crashing into a semi-truck. The impact caused the truck to skid with sparks flying.

Moments later, two other vehicles crashed into the disabled Honda.

Car Accident on 60 Freeway in Rowland Heights

A total of three patients were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their names and current condition were not disclosed.

Authorities determined that the driver of the Honda was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the accident. The driver was arrested for DUI.

The accident remains under investigation.
