2 People Killed in Car Crash on South Arlington Avenue in Jefferson Park Identified
Tobias Benito ID’d by Coroner’s Office as Jefferson Park Crash Victim
Jefferson Park, California (April 4, 2021) – The coroner’s office has identified the two people who died in a Saturday early morning Jefferson crash.
On Sunday, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said 38-year-old Tobias Benito died in the crash together with 23-year-old Carlos Maradiaga Redondo, of Los Angeles, who was identified by the office on Saturday.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the two people died in a two-vehicle accident that happened at around 3:40 a.m. in the 3700 block of South Arlington Avenue.
Firefighters responded to the scene after reports of the crash to find three people trapped in the wreckage.
The firefighters pronounced both Benito and Redondo deceased at the scene.
The third person was extricated and transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The report did not mention the cause of the crash, but an investigation is ongoing.
