Camarillo, California (August 7, 2019) – Two people were killed after a single-engine homebuilt plane crashed in Camarillo Wednesday afternoon, according to authorities.
The deadly plane accident took place at around 1:30 p.m. at Camarillo Airport.
Authorities said the small plane, described as an Express Series 2000, went down near Runway 26. It was immediately unclear if the plane was taking off or landing.
The two people who were on board were killed in the crash. Their names have not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the cause of the crash.
