2 Killed after Motorcycle, Car Collide on Forty Mile Road in Yuba County
Motorcyclist, Passenger Killed in Yuba County Crash on Forty Mile Road and Plumas Arboga Road
Yuba County, California (April 16, 2021) – The driver of a motorcycle and their passenger were killed after colliding with a car on Thursday evening in Yuba County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly accident happened shortly after 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, on Forty Mile Road and Plumas Arboga Road.
The CHP said a Chevy 2500, driven by Samuel Hubbard, was heading westbound on Forty Mile Road when it stopped for the posted stop sign at the intersection of Plumas Arboga Road.
Hubbard then pulled out into the intersection and observed a Harley Davidson motorcycle heading northbound on Plumas Arboga Road towards him.
The motorcyclist then applied his brakes and swerved to the left, but ended up colliding with the Chevy.
Deadly Motorcycle, Car Collision in Yuba County
The motorcyclist and their passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been disclosed.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
