2 Persons Die after Desert Hot Springs Crash on Interstate 10

Desert Hot Springs, California (December 10, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a late Wednesday night fiery wrong-way crash that killed two-people in Desert Hot Springs.
The deadly accident occurred at around 11:45 p.m., on December 9, on Interstate 10, just west of Indian Canyon Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided head-on in the eastbound lane of Interstate 10. One car was traveling the wrong way before the collision.
As a result of the collision, one of the vehicles caught fire, the officials said.

Two people sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Both single occupants of their respective vehicles, the CHP said.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for several hours due to the accident.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
