Adonis Jones Injured in Car Crash on Highway 99 in Bakersfield

Bakersfield, California (January 6, 2020) – A Tulare man was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run following a car accident that killed two people and left two other people injured on Friday night in Bakersfield.
The accident happened on Highway 99, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 2007 Hyundai driven by an 18-year-old was traveling on the roadway when it rear-ended a truck driven by a 58-year-old Aurelio Castaneda.
The unidentified driver of the Hyundai and his 24-year-old passenger were killed in the collision.
20-year-old Adonis Malik Jones whop was also riding in the Hyundai was seriously injured in the accident and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
A third vehicle driven by a woman crashed into the Hyundai. The unidentified woman suffered minor injuries.
Castaneda did not stop at the scene but was later arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run.
No other information about the accident was provided.
