Driver and a Passenger Hurt in Rancho Cordova Accident on Highway 50
Rancho Cordova, CA: (January 26, 2019) – Two people suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle crash on Friday morning in Rancho Cordova, according to the authorities.
The California Highway Patrol officers said the accident happened at about 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 25, on Highway 50 near Sunrise Boulevard
According to police, a 50-year-old man in a Chevrolet Bolt was traveling westbound on the highway when he looked away from the roadway and struck a Caltrans vehicle that was ahead of him. The driver told authorities that when he looked back, the Caltrans vehicle was traveling slower than he thought.
Medical crews responded to the scene and rendered aid to the passenger and the driver of the Chevrolet who suffered minor injuries.
No other details were immediately given on the accident.
Police are investigating the wreck.
