Man, Woman Injured in Modesto Motorcycle Crash on Helen Avenue and Sunrise Avenue
Modesto, California (April 23, 2019) – Two people were injured in a traffic collision in Modesto Monday night, authorities said.
The accident happened just after 10:30 p.m. Monday, April 22 on Helen Avenue and Sunrise Avenue.
According to the authorities, a man and woman were riding on a 50cc cycle that is not legal on streets when they failed to stop at a red light and struck a car that was traveling on Sunrise Avenue.
It was immediately unclear which person was driving the bike and who was the passenger, and neither was wearing a helmet.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Modesto Monday, April 22
The woman sustained major injuries and the man suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital. Their names and conditions were not immediately released.
The driver of the car was not injured in the wreck.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
