Modesto, California (July 20, 2021) – Two people were injured when a bus was struck by a vehicle in Modesto on Monday morning.

According to police, the wreck happened in the area of McHenry Avenue and Almond Avenue just before 8:42 a.m. July 19.

A Modesto Area Express bus traveling northbound on McHenry Avenue had stopped at a bus  stop near Almond Avenue when it was rear-ended by a Toyota Camry.

The driver of the Camry and one passenger in the bus were both taken to Doctors Medical Center after complaining of pain.

The northbound side of McHenry Avenue was blocked temporarily as authorities investigated the incident.

The crash remains under investigation.
