2 Injured, 1 Seriously, in Oakley Crash at Main Street and Live Oak Avenue
Oakley, California (May 6, 2019) – Two people were injured, one seriously, in a traffic crash involving two vehicles at an intersection in Oakley Sunday night, according to a local news source.
The wreck, which was reported at about 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, happened on the old state Highway 4 about a half-mile east of the State Highway 160 interchange.
Authorities said two vehicles collided for an undetermined reason at the intersection of Main Street and Live Oak Avenue.
Major Injury Car Accident in Oakley
One person was ejected from their vehicle upon the impact. The victim was then airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek with major injuries.
The other person sustained minor injuries and was transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital.
Both vehicles involved acquired serious damage.
Further details were not immediately disclosed, and the crash remains under investigation by the Oakley Police Department.
