2 Injured in Merced Crash at West Olive Avenue and Loughborough Drive
Merced, California (May 31, 2019) – Two people were injured early Thursday afternoon in a traffic accident involving five vehicles in Merced, police said.
The wreck happened at the intersection of West Olive Avenue and Loughborough Drive Thursday, May 30.
According to the police, one vehicle was heading eastbound on West Olive Avenue when for an unknown reason it crashed into the rear of another car that was stopped for a red light at the Merced intersection.
Minor Injury Crash at West Olive Avenue and Loughborough Drive
The vehicle that was hit from behind was pushed into the westbound lane, where it caused a traffic crash involving three other cars.
A female driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital while a male driver was transported to a Modesto area hospital with minor injuries.
Their names and condition at this were not disclosed.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
