1 Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 101 near Leavesley Road in Gilroy
Gilroy, California (November 12, 2020) – A man was killed in a rollover collision on US Highway 101 early Sunday morning in Gilroy.
The accident happened at about 1:03 a.m. November 8, on Highway 101 near Leavesley Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man was driving a Ford Mustang northbound on Highway 101 when he sideswiped a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado near Coyote Creek Golf Drive.
The impact of the collision caused the Mustang to overturn, coming to rest on its roof.
The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and a passenger in the Silverado were unhurt.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
