One Killed in Murrieta Crash on Interstate 215 at Los Alamos Road Off-Ramp
Murrieta, California (December 24, 2020) – At least one person was killed on Christmas Eve in a fiery traffic accident in Murrieta, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash happened at around 5:00 p.m. on Interstate 215 south at the Los Alamos Road exit, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, for unknown reasons, a vehicle drifted off the road and burst into flames. It was not immediately clear if other vehicles were involved in the accident.
At least one person died in the crash, the CHP said. The name of the victim has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
No other injuries were immediately reported.
The Los Alamos Road exit was shut down following the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
