1 Dies, 6 Hospitalized after Interstate 5 Crash near County Road 22 in Woodland
Woodland, California (June 19, 2019) – A person was killed and six other people were injured late Tuesday night in a two-car accident in Woodland, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The deadly crash happened at about 10:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 18 on northbound Interstate 5, just south of County Road 22.
According to the CHP report, an unidentified person was driving recklessly on northbound Interstate 5 when they crashed into the rear of another vehicle.

The force of the impact caused the driver of the vehicle that was rear-ended to lose control and veered off the highway, which made the car to roll over. The CHP said one person in that car died in the crash.
A total of six people were transported to a hospital. At least some of the patients had critical injuries.
The names of the deceased victim and the injured parties have not been disclosed.
No further details were immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
