1 Killed and 4 Injured in Rollover Collision on 80 Freeway near Gold Run Rest Area
Gold Run, California (December 30, 2020) – One person was killed in a solo car crash that left four other people injured in Gold Run on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly collision happened on Interstate 80 Freeway near Gold Run Rest Area at about 7:45 a.m.
A black Ford pickup truck was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway and crashed into some trees.
The impact caused the pickup truck to overturn onto its side, pinning two people inside.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
One was airlifted to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
Two people sustained unspecified injuries and were transported to the hospital by ambulance.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
