1 Killed, 2 Injured in Clear Lake Car Crash on Highway 20
1 Killed and 2 Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 20 in Clear Lake
Clear Lake, California (January 14, 2021) – At least one person was killed in a two-vehicle collision that left two other people seriously injured in Clear Lake on Thursday evening.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 20 near Post Mile 21.10 (east of the town of Lucerne) at about 7:40 p.m. January 14.
A Ford Focus sedan was traveling westbound on the roadway when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Ford Escape SUV.
The male driver of the Ford Focus was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Saint Helena Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.
The driver and a passenger in the SUV suffered moderate to major injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
