Wasco, California (June 5, 2021) – A two-vehicle collision has claimed the life of one person Saturday morning north of Wasco and left two other people injured, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The deadly crash, which was reported a little before 11:115 a.m., happened at the intersection at Sherwood Avenue and Highway 43.
According to the CHP, two vehicles collided at the intersection in unclear circumstances.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Another person sustained major injuries, while a third patient had minor injuries. Their condition at this time was unknown.
