One Injured in Lake Elsinore Accident on Interstate 15 at Nichols Road

Lake Elsinore, California (June 23, 2021) – One person was injured in a traffic collision that occurred in Lake Elsinore on Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened at around 10:55 a.m. on Interstate 15 at Nichols Road.
According to authorities, a Toyota Camry traveling northbound on Interstate 15 crashed into the rear of a semi trailer in the slow lane.

The Riverside County Fire Department responded to the crash and extricated the driver of the Camry.
The driver was then transported to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar with unknown injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
