1 Injured in Santa Barbara Collision on US-101 at Carrillo Street
Santa Barbara, California (February 28, 2021) – One person was transported to the hospital after being involved in a crash on the Carrillo Street offramp from US 101 early Sunday morning, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported at around 2:29 a.m.
Authorities responded to the accident and found two vehicles involved in the crash.
A sedan was overturned in the traffic lanes while another sedan came to rest vertically on a tree.
Authorities said the people inside the sedan on the tree had fled from the scene.
The driver of the other sedan was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities said the hospitalized driver was suspected to have been driving under the influence.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
