1 Seriously Injured in Bethel Island Boat Collison near Sugar Barge Marina
Bethel Island, California (June 5, 2019) – One person was hospitalized Tuesday morning after two boats collided in the Delta, according to authorities.
The collision happened near Sugar Barge Marina Tuesday, June 4.
Details regarding what led to the collision were not immediately released.
Major Injury Boating Crash in Bethel Island, June 4
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to one person who was suffering from major injuries. The patient was then airlifted to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not disclosed.
The accident remains under investigation by the Contra Costa Sheriff’s marine unit.
