Zackary David Hoover Killed in Fatal Head-On Accident on Highway 4 near Milton Road in Farmington
Zackary David Hoover ID’d as 26-Year-Old Copperopolis Man Killed in Farmington Crash on Highway 4
Farmington, California (May 7, 2019) — The man who was killed early Monday morning in a head-on crash between Farmington and Copperopolis has been identified as Zackary David Hoover, 26, of Copperopolis, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly two-car accident happened at about 4:42 a.m. on a hilly section of Highway 4, just east of Milton Road.
According to a preliminary investigation, a 61-year-old woman was driving a 2018 Subaru Outback westbound on Highway 4 when she collided head-on with an oncoming 2016 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Hoover. The report showed that Hoover’s vehicle may have drifted into the path of the Subaru.
Both drivers were reportedly trapped in their vehicles after the impact. The drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the accident.

Hoover was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto where he succumbed to his injuries at around 7:30 a.m.
The driver of the Subaru sustained major injuries to her chest and left leg and was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto.
It’s undetermined if alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
