Yucaipa, California (February 7, 2019) – Two men were injured Wednesday night in an alleged DUI crash in Yucaipa, according to authorities.

The accident took place at about 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, February 6 on 4th Street and Watson.

Authorities said a red car was traveling southbound on 4th Street and Watson, going east on Avenue E and was attempting to make a left turn onto 4th Street when the driver’s side wheels of a Ford F250 went onto the car’s hood and smashed the windshield.

The impact caused the Ford to flip over.

The occupants of the car, a 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old man, both of Yucaipa, sustained minor to moderate injuries and were transported to a hospital.

The driver of the Ford, Jason Watson, 37, of Fort Mohave, Arizona, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing injuries. He was booked into Central Detention Center and was later released after posting $100,000 bail.
