Woman Dies in Yuba County Pedestrian Crash at Hammonton Smartsville Road and Lowe Avenue

Yuba County, California (February 22, 2019) – A woman was struck and killed by a vehicle near Linda in Yuba County on Thursday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about 7:35 a.m. February 21, at Hammonton Smartsville Road and Lowe Avenue.
CHP said a vehicle was stopped at a stop sign on southbound Lowe Avenue when the driver started to turn left onto eastbound Hammonton Smartsville Road and struck a pedestrian.
The victim was rushed to Rideout Emergency Room, where she was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The driver of the vehicle and four passengers were unhurt and remained at the scene.
No details were provided on the identities of the parties involved in the accident.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
