Man Killed in Yolo County Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 80 near Yolo Causeway
Yolo County, California (July 12, 2021) – A man died after being struck by at least one vehicle shortly after he was involved in a separate crash early Monday morning in Yolo County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal accident happened at around midnight on Interstate 80 near the Yolo Causeway.
The CHP said a vehicle was heading westbound on Interstate 80 when, for an unknown reason, it rear-ended another car.
Both vehicles came to a halt after the collision. A man reported got out of one of the vehicles and was hit by at least one semi-truck.

The man was killed in the accident. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
