Xavier Truckey Hospitalized after Single-Vehicle Crash on Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms
Xavier Truckey Injured in Twentynine Palms Accident on Highway 62 and Sherman Hoyt Avenue

Twentynine Palms, California (November 7, 2020) – Xavier Truckey, 19, of Twentynine Palms, was among four people who were injured Wednesday night in a single-vehicle traffic accident in Twentynine Palms
At about 10:07 p.m. Wednesday, November 4, emergency personnel responded to the area of Highway 62 and Sherman Hoyt Avenue for the reported traffic accident.
Authorities said Damion Sloan, 23, of Twentynine Palms was driving a silver Toyota Tundra pick-up truck westbound on Highway 62 when, for undetermined reasons, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the side berm on the south side of the highway.
The Tundra then rolled over several times.
Sloan was ejected from the truck and pinned underneath it. His two passengers, Snyder and Robin Wright, 21, also of Twentynine Palms, were also thrown from the truck.
Sloan, Wright and Snyder sustained major injuries and were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. A third passenger, Truckey, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hi-Desert Medical Center as a precaution.
The accident remains under investigation.
