3 Men Injured, 1 Seriously in Wynola Crash on Springview Road
Wynola, California (April 17, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday morning traffic accident that left three men injured one seriously in Wynola.
The major injury accident occurred at about 8:15 a.m., on April 15, on Springview Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound 1995 Chevrolet pickup veered to the left across a set of double yellow lines west of Springview Road and sideswiped an oncoming 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe.
Following the collision, the SUV careening off the south side of the roadway where it went down an embankment and crashed into a tree. The truck spun out on the asphalt, coming to rest in the eastbound lane.
3 Injured in Crash on Springview Road
The driver of the pickup, a 71-year-old Julian resident, sustained major injuries and was taken to Palomar Medical Center for treatment.
A 63-year-old Temecula man, who had been driving the SUV and his passenger, a 62-year-old Carlsbad man sustained minor injuries and were aided at the scene.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
