Woman Killed, Two Hospitalized after Anaheim Crash on Riverside (91) Freeway near Harbor Boulevard
Anaheim, California (July 6, 2021) – A wrong-way driver was killed and two other people were seriously injured early Tuesday morning in a head-on collision in Anaheim, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash was reported at around 1:15 a.m. on the eastbound side of Riverside (91) Freeway near Harbor Boulevard exit.
Witnesses told the CHP that a westbound Dodge Dakota pickup truck entered the eastbound 91 Freeway from the Harbor Boulevard off-ramp and then collided head-on with a Honda Accord occupied by a male and female.

A woman who was driving the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver and passenger of the Honda sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
It is undetermined whether the wrong-way motorist was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the collision.
The crash prompted the authorities to close three lanes while the investigation took place.
