Woodland, CA: Fatal Three-Vehicle Crash at County Roads 19 and 92C

Woodland, California (January 26, 2019) – A man was killed and four other people were injured Friday morning in a traffic accident involving three vehicles west of Woodland, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly wreck happened just before 7:00 a.m. Friday, January 25 near county roads 19 and 92C.

The CHP said a 1996 Honda was trying to overtake a 1996 Chevrolet traveling westbound on County Road 19 when it crossed over a double-yellow solid line and struck a 2013 Ford driven by a 57-year-old Esparto woman.

According to the CHP, a male passenger in the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene while a female passenger sustained major injuries and was transported to Kaiser Vacaville. The drivers of all three vehicles sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet was only identified as a 40-year-old Clarksburg man. The name of the deceased has not been released pending identification and notification of his relatives.

The CHP said the deceased was not wearing a seat belt and all other involved parties were wearing theirs.

Alcohol or drugs were not factors in the crash.
