San Jose, California (April 2, 2021) – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle as she crossed a street in a wheelchair in San Jose on Thursday night.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. April 1, in the area of Monterey Highway and Curtner Avenue.
The unidentified woman was crossing Monterey Highway in her wheelchair when she was hit by a southbound vehicle.
The woman died at the scene of the accident.
The vehicle fled the scene and was yet to be located.
