Woman Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash on Stockdale Highway

Bakersfield, California (January 17, 2021) – A woman died after being struck by a vehicle in Southwest Bakersfield on Saturday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 6:10 p.m. January 16, in the 5100 block of Stockdale Highway near the Outback Steakhouse.
A woman was walking in the area when she was struck by a car in unclear circumstances.
The authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead.
The unidentified woman was holding a small dog at the time of the accident. The dog survived the crash.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
