19-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Alpine Pedestrian Crash on South Grade Road near Manzanita View Road
Alpine, California (February 10, 2021) – A woman was seriously injured in a Wednesday morning hit-and-run accident in Alpine, authorities said.
The pedestrian accident occurred at about 11:15 a.m. South Grade Road near Manzanita View Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was walking to the south along the western edge of South Grade Road when an unknown vehicle struck her.
Female Pedestrian Injured in Crash on South Grade Road
The female pedestrian sustained major injuries and was airlifted to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for treatment.
The involved driver fled the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
