Woman Seriously Injured in Crash Involving Stolen Vehicle on El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego

San Diego, California (October 9, 2020) – A passenger riding in a suspected stolen car was seriously injured in a crash in El Cerrito, San Diego, on Friday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 5 a.m. in the 5800 block of El Cajon Boulevard.

The authorities said the driver of a stolen Honda Accord lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a parked Honda Pilot. The impact of the crash sent the Honda Pilot crashing into another parked Honda Accord.

A female passenger in the stolen vehicle was seriously injured in the crash and was transported to the hospital for treatment of a broken hip and a deep cut to one of her legs.

The unidentified driver jumped out of the vehicle and fled the scene and was yet to be located.

No additional information about the accident was provided.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
